Bettina Hein is a serial software entrepreneur that has built successful technology companies in Europe and the US. Juli is her third software company. She is a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum as well as the 2018 Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year in Massachusetts.

Bettina Duehrkoop

Bettina Duehrkoop has experience in the corporate as well as the entrepreneurial environment. She has more than 25 years of experience in customer-centric strategy and product development. Most recently she was founder of an award winning advertising agency she successfully sold to join juli.

Joris Straatman

Joris has 20 years of experience as a CTO with a track record of successfully building large tech teams. He has launched several startups in hard- and software industries, B2C as well as B2B. Joris holds a BA in Psychology and MSc in Artificial Intelligence, specializing in knowledge technology and machine learning.

Chief Medical Officer, CO-FOUNDER

Joseph Hayes, MD, Prof. PhD

Joe has an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD in Psychiatric Epidemiology from UCL. He is currently a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and a Honorary Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry in Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

Germaine Oliver, OD

Germaine Oliver is an Optometrist by training and has served 25 years in the US army before joining juli as a co-founder. She has great experience in developing patient-facing applications, all aimed at enhancing healthcare for everyone. Her approach is data-driven, firmly prioritizing tangible results and real-world applications over theoretical concepts. This commitment to practical, evidence-based solutions drives her vision for a more efficient, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare system.

Chief Scientific Officer

Aaron Kandola, PhD

Aaron has a PhD in Psychiatric Epidemiology from UCL and has published over 30 papers on mental health and digital technologies. His diverse background across academia, start-ups, government, and funding informs his focus on building and translating evidence into scalable digital health technologies. He leads research and innovation at juli.
